Celebrating Aging Is Largest AgeOptions Fundraiser

More than 250 friends and supporters of AgeOptions filled the beautiful Winter Garden of Chicago’s Harold Washington Library for the fifth annual AgeOptions fundraiser on September 17, 2009. The event raised $40,000 for AgeOptions programs and services for older adults in suburban Cook County.

The evening's theme, Celebrating Aging, saluted the strengths, diversity and experience of older adults. It also paid tribute to the community agencies, local governments and others committed to the well-being of the older members of our communities.

As in previous years, the fundraiser will help AgeOptions continue to meet the needs of older adults in suburban Cook County and their families.

This was my first year attending…… I thought it was well organized and orchestrated.  The entertainment was fabulous, the speakers were engaging …., the auction tables were very nicely arranged with great descriptions … The food was very good the desert great.  The room was beautiful …. Nice touch to have a representative in main area first floor to help direct those individuals unfamiliar with the Library…..I have attended many silent auctions and in comparison this was well planned a lot went into it and everyone who had a hand in it should be praised.
My Best,

Deborah Beaty
